Pachycephalosaurus is a small herbivorous dinosaur in The Isle.

Pachycephalosaurus was added to The Isle in Patch 0.1.1.1531 and re-added to the game inEVRIMA Patch (0.8.60.19).

In real life, Pachycephalosaurus lived during the Late Cretaceous Period, specifically the Maastrichtian stage, in what is now North America. Remains have been excavated in Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. It was a herbivorous creature that is primarily known from a single skull and a few extremely thick skull roofs, though more complete fossils have been found in recent years. Pachycephalosaurus was one of the last non-avian dinosaurs before the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. Another dinosaur, Tylosteus of western North America, has been synonymized with Pachycephalosaurus, as have the genera Stygimoloch and Dracorex in some recent studies.

In The Isle[]

In Legacy, the Pachycephalosaurus's headbutt attack can cripple even the largest of carnivores, such as Allosaurus & Suchomimus, though it is generally best to avoid them and run away when being attacked. It can easily fight smaller carnivores, such as Austroraptor, however it's recommended for it to live in a herd for extra protection and avoid combat as much as possible.

In Evrima, the Pachycephalosaurus is the first and only animal with the fracture mechanic, allowing it to severely cripple any animal it pleases. Utahraptors will find these beasts very hard to kill, as they can directly counter the raptor's pounce and kill them in 2 hits, making them near impossible for a solo animal to one down. Carnotaurus, on the other hand, can kill them quite easily if they ambush one with their charge attack, but if not, Pachycephalosaurus can easily outstam Carnotaurus and, if skillled enough, can bring one down with ease. Also, Pachycephalosaurus is terrible near and in water, being one of the slowest swimmers in the game and having an oxygen span of under 10 seconds, meaning if one is grabbed by a Deinosuchus, they can kiss their life goodbye.

The Pachycephalosaurus' preferred diet consists of Oranges for carbohydrates, Agave for proteins and Coconuts for lipids. Horned Melons and Agave can both be located in the plains and in arid regions, while Coconuts can be found in the plains and on the coast. The coconuts must first be broken open before eating. To do this, look down and press RMB twice and the coconut will open providing a nourishing meal.

"Known not just for it's headstrong attitude, but it's literal dome shaped skull, this thick-headed herbivore can cause quite the dent. This makes the Pachycephalosaurus the perfect playable to make it's EVRIMA debut alongside the Fracture Mechanic."
